DIY Hack : Dairy Free Strawberry Banana Smoothie Pops

By Rachel Kibbe

Stumbled on this amazing recipe for the perfect summer popsicle on the Sugar and Charm blog. I don't know about you but this summer has been super hot lately for us in NYC, and there's nothing like a popsicle to keep you from gettin the "vapours"!

I stay away from eating animal products because of the widespread abuse of animals globally, as well as negative health implications, so this vegan friendly product really hits the spot!  The food and fashion industries are very similar in their supply chains; they have similar complications, problems and injustices. As a personal choice, I've decided to eliminate animal products from my diet and wardrobe as much as possible. Progress, not perfection but I think it's a good goal.  I'll write more about this in the near future but for now ... I give you POPSICLES!!

1 container Silk Soy Strawberry Yogurt

1 banana

1 cup frozen strawberries

1 cup Silk Coconut Milk to blend

1 cup Silk Coconut Milk to make stripes

In a blender, combine yogurt, banana, strawberries and 1 cup coconut milk. Feel free to add more milk for desired consistency. To make striped smoothies, pour a small amount of the smoothie mix into each popsicle mold. Freeze, then do a layer of coconut milk. Freeze again and continue the layers until you reach the top.For solid smoothie pops, fill the mold to the top with the strawberry smoothie mix and freeze. Drizzle with honey and top with granola!
