Ix style was founded by Francesca Kennedy and is dedicated to helping her family's country of origin, Guatemala. On one visit, Francesca saw children drinking contaminated water in Lake Atitlan and she knew had to do something. Inspired by the local Mayan textiles and leather craftsmanship, Ix Style was created. Working with female artisans in a Guatemalan community, every pair helps provide clean drinking water. Also, a tree is planted in Guatemala, a severely deforrested country, for each pair of shoes purchased through donations to AIRGuatemala (www.airguatemala.org).
